Elder Berries, Sambucus nigra
Also called Black Elder, European Elder, and Common Elder. Whole, dried elder berries are often used as a tea for colds, but are also used to make jams, jellies, chutney and cordials.

The flowers and berries are most commonly used. The dried fruits are less bitter than fresh. The branches and leaves are poisonous. The small stem which is sometimes left on the berry is safe.
